How can we request anniversary, birthday, wedding and birth greetings from the president?
For an individual 80 or more years young, or for a couple celebrating 50 or more years of marital bliss, request a greeting from the White House at least six weeks in advance. The request must contain the honoree’s name (including Mr., Dr., Miss, Mrs., Ms.) and home address, the exact date of the occasion, number of years of marriage or age, and your name and daytime phone number. For weddings and births of babies, send the request after the event. You can also receive greetings for Eagle Scout Awards, Girl Scout Gold Awards and Bar or Bat Mitzvahs or equivalent occasions. Fax your request to (202) 395-1232 or snail mail it to The White House, Attn: Greetings Office, Washington, D. C. 20502-0039. You can also try to e-mail a request from a link on the greetings office Web site, www.whitehouse.gov/greeting, but the only greeting we got was an error message.
