How can we put in a request for an increase or decrease to street light illumination?
The Public Works Department can perform an analysis of street lighting to see if the illumination levels meet City standards. Remember that a factor in illumination is how much the light is blocked by vegetation. Often there is sufficient lighting in place that is obscured by mature tree growth. The City can initiate the trimming of the trees or can upgrade the street lighting if necessary. Please call 919-516-2155 for more information.
