How can we over come barriers to effective communication?
I’ve found that one of the most important aspects of effective communication is honesty. Be open, tell the truth, have integrity–treat others as you would have them treat you. If you are open with them then they will most probably be open with you. Communication is a two-way street. If one person is lying then the whole concept is screwed up. Don’t be afraid to say what you feel, but also don’t step on toes when you say it. Be careful of the way you word things for some people DO take offense, even when none is meant. Try to be brief, but be concise and say what you mean. Good luck.
