How can we maximise publicity of the TEF?
• Produce display boards promoting the main aims of the TEF that can be circulated around countryside/environmental events during the summer (such as World Oceans Day, Countryside & Wildlife Fair), libraries and information centres (such as Discovery Point, McManus Galleries) • Obtain and use contacts within the education and awareness sector: Ranger Service, Education Departments, environmental awareness programmes • Use both free and trade press publications to advertise/promote TEF events • Increase distribution and content of the newsletter: encourage involvement of mailing list in the production of the newsletter (through contributions and feedback), extend circulation list Issues raised during the session, particularly in terms of direct actions, were then summarised into 8 main points, in no order of priority. • Value of networking • Building up mailing list • Getting at ‘the harder to reach’ – industry, public, Scottish Enterprise • Build and publicise on the back of practical
