How can we identify a bad candidate for the henna hair color/ conditioner? How do we identify that mehndi tattoo will not give good results?
Hair Mehndi application- Hair mehndi should not be done on clients with damaged/coarse hair. Mehndi has a drying tendancy so if the hair is chemically damaged due to excessive processing, than the henna application would only make it worse. If the client is only trying henna for a single application and would like to switch to chemical coloring, than the hair will not be receptiveto hair color. If the client does not approve of the color, henna color cannot be bleached. Mehndi done on grey color will only give an orange tint. For medium brown/black hair the henna treatment gives a red tint. Mehndi Tattoos- Mehndi tattoos should not be done on swimmers as the chlorine fades the mehndi faster than usual. People with a dark complexion should only get mehndi applied on the palms, as any other part of the body may not show a good contrast.
