We need to call on the strength of our community to help the kids that need extra attention. We need to use the resources we already have, like the Whatcom Volunteer Center, the WWU School of Education, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the YMCA after school programs to help our kids get the extra attention they need to succeed.
