How can we get from Dubrovnik to Budva (or anywhere on the coast in Montenegro) via boat?
Let me just add that given its coastal, mountainous location, there are no trains in and out of Dubrovnik. Alternatives such as ferries or boats are usually only offered by cruise companies and you couldn’t use their service only for transfer. Even Jadrolinija, the biggest sea operator in the area doesn’t offer regular ferries. It says you have boats in high season, but that’s also not very dependable. This leaves you with the bus or taxi transport. There are not a lot of public buses from Dubrovnik to Montenegro in general. Public road transport around Croatia and Montenegro is very good and reasonably priced and buses do indeed leave only once per day from major cities to other destinations.
