The Social Security Administration publishes a report every two years which highlights the principal features of social security systems throughout the world. The latest version is Social Security Programs Throughout the World – 1997. It can be obtained by writing to the Superintendent of Documents, P.O. Box 371954, Pittsburgh, PA 15250-7954. The cost is $35 and the publication number is 017-070-00478-4.
