How can we eradicate the ravaging effect of AIDS/HIV in Africa?
In order to eradicate AIDS we need to balance the world’s resources equally. It blows my mind how people who have no idea what they are talking about are willing to suggest that if only Africans would use condoms that would solve the problem. Most Africans live miles away from a decent WATER SUPPLY and cannot afford to feed their families; where are they going to get condoms? What Africa needs is access to nourishing food, sanitation, water, health care, education and employment so that they don’t have to continue living in a festering pool of disease all the time. The women of Africa need to be educated and empowered so that they don’t have to sell sex to support themselves and their children. The children of Africa need to grow up in an environment that isn’t permeated with destitution and hopelessness. It’s easy to roll your eyes and think, “Oh, that can just never effect us.
