EM reconstruction methods are beginning to yield ensembles of maps representing multiple conformations/enzymatic states within a heterogeneous population of imaged particles. We are planning to update the EMDB data model to hold multiple maps generated from a single specimen/imaging experiment within one EMDB entry in the near future. For now, if you need to deposit multiple maps of this type please contact help@emdatabank.org for guidance.
