TERRORISM: THE CAUSE AND THE REMEDY The act which is only destructive and inflicts suffering both on oneself and others is terrorism. In such an act, human values are lost in the process of achieving a goal. Some of the factors that lead to terrorism are: * Frustration and desperation to achieve a goal * Confused emotion * Shortsightedness and Impulsive action * Belief in a non-verifiable concept of heaven and merit; a childish concept of God favoring some and angry at others, thereby undermining the omniscience and omnipotence of the Divine. Terrorism induces fear psychosis in all, increases poverty, suffering and loss of life with no apparent gains. Instead of solutions the terrorist looks for destruction as an answer. If you simply criticize without giving a solution, know that this criticism comes from the same seed as terrorism! It is not simple but “yes, we can”. Some of the recipe’ I am giving here. 1. There should be a people’s force which should coordinate with army, police or NGS in time of need 2. Politicians should be completedo pass a stricter law on terrorism which should be monitored for misuse by judiciary and people’s forum 3. Every male above 20 years to 35 years should be given ( brave women can join) a compulsory army training for at least 2 months. 4. Just like we have foreign coach for cricket, etc, we can have coaches from US, Israel, etc for intelligence and commando training 5. All citizens should be screened and given National Security numbers which can identify them with all vital details 6. Census should be taken again with more seriousness and any foreigners staying too long or unnecessarily should be brought to book 7. All public places should be under the scanner of sophisticated equipments 8. More money need to be allotted for defense research especially keeping in mind the terrorism
