How can we be expected to believe Met Office Forecasts?
East Antrim MP Sammy Wilson was in Ballycarry yesterday talking to local residents about the closure of the Post Office there. The Post Office was damaged in a fire in December and has not reopened since then. Mr Wilson said: “It has been over six months since the fire damaged the Post Office in Ballycarry and it has still not reopened. This is an inconvenience for those who can drive to other post offices but for many elderly people and those with no car it more than an inconvenience. I was recently contacted by Ballycarry Women’s Institute regarding this and I was more than happy to write to The Post Office on their behalf and I look forward to receiving a reply. This is a much missed service in Ballycarry, and it was not one of the Post Offices earmarked for closure and so I hope that it will be reopened soon so that it can once again carried out a much needed service to people in Ballycarry and the surrounding area.
