How can visitors to the UK get car insurance?
Out of 100 non Brits get into an accident when driving in Britain on the first 6 months at the rate of 35%. Also, (and for the same reason) British people driving in France can get into big crashes, due to them forgetting they are in France. Scenario: Simply get into the car, forget you are in France, drive off and SPLAT! Head on into some big truck. Next time you are in france, remember to drive on the “wrong side of the road”. This still happens to me after about 2 million miles traveled between the UK and Europe over 30 years. When I go back and fro into the UK and into Europe, it is a practice of mine that when I get into the car/truck/van motorcycle the next thing I do after adjusting the mirror and turning engine on is just stop, think: “which side of the road am I driving?” ah now I now.
