How can UPOP help employers?
• Access to top engineering talent through an organized, systematic process • High visibility among students in the School of Engineering and throughout MIT • Engagement of students who have completed an intensive pre-employment “boot camp” • Opportunity for recognition: the UPOP Internship Excellence Award is given each year to outstanding employers UPOP will bring over 200 students together as one captive audience for five days in January, and work closely with students throughout the academic year. During the January “boot camp”, UPOP employers may attend a networking luncheon, send marketing gifts to UPOP participants, and share company-specific information. Additionally, employers are invited to impart insight and first-hand knowledge during our Spring career development workshops. The sooner employers decide to participate in UPOP, the more time our staff has to advertise the open positions and informally screen prospective candidates.
