How can u tell new tires from retreads from a discount tire store?
On one side of the tire wall there is written “DOT” followed by several numbers. The last 4 tell you the week and year the tire was manufactured. Examples: 1304 – Manufactured the 13th week of 2004 2407 – Manufactured the 24th week of 2007 BTW, try not to purchase any tire manufactured more than 5 years ago.
