How can the vehicle be released to the Lien Holder or Repossession Agent before the end of the 30-day period?
A release for the vehicle may be issued by the Avondale Police Department only IF one of the following exemptions applies: • The vehicle is subject to bailment as described in ARS 28-3512A2. • The vehicle is a rental as described in ARS 28-3512A4. A release for the vehicle may be issued by the Avondale Police Department only if ALL of the following applies: • The Lien Holder is a motor vehicle dealer, bank, credit union or acceptance corporation or any other licensed financial institution legally operating in this state or is another person who is not the owner and who holds a security interest in the vehicle. • Pays Administration Fees, towing and storage fees related to the impound. (Unless vehicle was stolen and reported.) • Presents foreclosure documents or an affidavit of repossession of the vehicle. OR It was determined at an Impound Hearing that the vehicle was improperly impounded.
