How can the spin the earth create day and night?
The spin of the earth dictates night and day because as it spins, only part of the earth can be exposed to the sun at a time. This is the effect that we know as night and day. During the night on one part of the earth, it is day on the other part, and vice versa. So, in reality, the sun doesn’t “rise” or “set”, but the earth gives it that impression.
