HOW CAN THE SCS PROGRAM HELP AN AMERICAN CHILD?
One of the goals of DCI is to educate American children about world hunger and poverty. Through the Sun Child Sponsorship program, our American children have the unique opportunity to develop friendships with a distressed child. This friendship enables them to appreciate their situation and country and motivates them to work for the less fortunate. We believe that these children are more likely to become empathetic leaders in the future.
