How can the same people who claim to detest sexual harrassment defend Bill Clinton?
Sexual harassment is about abuse of power, not sex. While Slick Willie playing around with the hired help was morally reprehensible and I can’t fathom why Hillary has put up with it for all of these years, it is not a crime. To my recollection, at no point did the Starr Chamber accuse President Clinton of using his position of authority to coerce Monica to do something she didn’t want to do. Given the zealousness with which the Richard Mellon Scaife/Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy went after Bill Clinton about *everything* (Vince Foster suicide, Whitewater, etc.), if such charges could have been brought, I’m pretty sure that they would have.
