How can the private sector contribute to and influence the technical refinement and interpretation of the Uruguay Round Agreements?
Private sector input should be channeled through home governments, who can then forward the inputs to the appropriate WTO committee. Committees have been established for the purpose of affording WTO members the opportunity to consult on matters relating to the administration and interpretation of the respective agreements. Any binding elaboration of an existing provision contained in an agreement normally requires the consensus of all Committee members.
