How can the Nigerian economy attract global attention?
The most critical factors that attract foreigners into any economy include: personal safety, security of investment, judicial system, infrastructure etc. if these are put in place, we won’t need much advertisements to attract foreign investments and capitals into the country. What do you advise on “Vision 2020 agenda” by this administration? The Vision 2020, to me as a businessman, is a classic joke and very untenable. We don’t even have the basic infrastructure such as water, roads and electricity for daily survival. We have been having electricity challenges since the 1960s and today we are talking about 6,000 megawatts for December 2009, when Republic of Ireland with a population of about 4million had such capacity as at 1956. Let us be realistic, even if Nigeria signed a STANDSTILL contract, I don’t see how we can squeeze into the nearby 27 EU countries. Much less going far to India, Brazil, China or Japan in 11 years (2009 to 2020). I am more comfortable if we change it to “Vision
