How can the MWC have a long and glorious history if it started in 1999?
The story is that the first gentlemen (The Three Founders) who mounted radio-controlled bb cannons on model warships did so back in the late 1970’s. Out of their efforts came the IRCWCC, or the International Radio Controlled Warship Combat Club. This is the club that developed and refined the game the MWC uses today, and the IRCWCC can rightly claim to be the oldest r/c scale warship combat organization in the world. The game they developed was for the most part, just fine. The reason for the creation of the MWC was that there had developed what can be best described as a personality schism within the IRCWCC. There was no means for controlling or correcting this problem within the club rules, and peer pressure just didn’t work. After watching many good people leave due to this problem, the founders of the MWC decided that the IRCWCC couldn’t survive with this schism, and so they opted to take one side of the schism and form a new organization. In so doing they recognized that part of t
