How can the mandatory use of a word processor improve my sentences?
The use of a word processor makes it easier to work with your material. You are better able to judge the effectiveness of a sentence in your planning and shaping stages of writing by seeing the paper on screen. Most instructors also require a “hand to paper” approach to editing and proofreading. Your instructor may also ask you to do some planning and shaping in your notebook. This should be clearly explained by your particular instructor when he or she discusses the required format for your papers.
