How can the Internet Explorer 7 render engine be activated in Internet Explorer 8?

Go to the “Tools” menu and select “Developer Tools”, or press F12. Then click on the “Browser Mode” menu item and select “Internet Explorer 7” to let the Trident render engine of Internet Explorer 7 render the website. Note that pages which open in new windows or popups will be rendered by the Trident render engine of Internet Explorer 8. So the Browser Mode needs to be set separately for every window.
