An organizations behavior, just like that of individuals, is consistent with its beliefs. In organizations the beliefs are known collectively as the culture, which can be defined as the beliefs about what is required for the organization to survive and succeed. The culture gets institutionalized in an organization’s policies, practices, procedures, systems, and structure. It is difficult, if not impossible, for an organization to implement any strategy inconsistent with its culture. DMI has used a variation of the Decision Maker Belief Process in over 40 companies, from Fortune 500-size to companies with less than 100 employees, to assist over 10,000 employees to make radical changes in the culture.
