how can the Council help?

0

The Council can provide advice on septic tanks and cesspools, offer a tank emptying service as well as investigate complaints of nuisance from drainage systems, leaking tanks or defective soakaways for instance, and require the owner or owners to remedy the problem. Please note: If it is not practicable to install a septic tank or cesspool more efficient sewerage treatment plants are available which treat the effluent and allow it to be discharged direct to a watercourse. Specialist advice should be obtained if a treatment plant is to be installed. See note below on package treatment plants.
