How can the common citizen contribute to Homeland Defense?
As the defense of the US homeland has evolved over time, the common citizen can contribute more and more to the security of us all. Vigilance in keeping eyes and ears open to anything out of the ordinary is important. As is knowing whom to contact when something out of the ordinary is identified. By informing local authorities ordinary citizens may provide the missing piece of a larger intelligence puzzle that can possibly thwart another September 11th type of attack.
