How Can Tennis Improve Their Popularity?
Of course I’m not suggesting they move the location of Wimbledon, that would be blasphemy to tennis fans. The date of Wimbledon should be moved back to July though. The tennis season has four different Grand Slams. They should easily be able to spread out the four Grand Slams over the span of the year. Instead they jam the French Open and Wimbledon together so that they are almost back to back. Wimbledon was so close to the French Open that I missed the first day of action because I didn’t realize it was time for Wimbledon yet. Moving Wimbledon to July would also mean the NBA Playoffs would be over and there would be one less thing competing for the sports fans’ attention. Having Wimbledon in July would also mean not having it during London’s worst rain season. Wimbledon will have a dome in two years but it’d still be nice to go to Wimbledon without being rained on. Have the Men and Women Play Together Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying they should play against each other. For those of
