How can staffing be maintained when staff takes Furlough Days?
Employees will be scheduled furlough days on days that they have requested leave and will not be furloughed on days or shifts that have already reached their leave complement as outlined in the Prince George’s Correctional Officers Association (PGCOA) contract. This will assure continued twenty-four (24) hour-a-day, three hundred sixty five (365) days-per-year staffing at the Correctional Center as required.
