How can someone prevent the spread of STIs?
Postponing sex is the only 100% way of preventing the spread of STIs. Testing for all STIs should be administered to both partners prior to engaging in sexual activity. If someone has an STI, how can he/she be treated? If a person experiences STI symptoms or has a reason to believe that their partner may have transmitted an infection without symptoms, they should seek medical advice as soon as possible. The Student Health Center provides STI testing and treatment at low and sometimes no cost. Charges can be placed on a student’s Villanova account or paid by the student personally through cash or check. What is the difference between anonymous and confidential testing? Anonymous testing refers to testing in which a person is identified by number only. They are never required to give an identifying name.
