When you are planning for a career, it’s logical to try to do something that is of interest to you. Unless you are going to be an entrepreneur and own your own company, you will be spending the majority of your life working for other people. Every has gifts and talents. Take a look at those talents and see where your strengths lie. Then do some research to see what professions are in line with your natural talents and abilities to determine if one field is better for you than another. That way you will be able to figure out what type of college you will need to attend, if any, as well. If you hate school or don’t like to read or study, you most likely won’t like college. If you are mechanically inclined and like to work with your hands, perhaps going to a trade school or college to learn how to be a plumber or electrician, etc. would be more practical for you.
