How can some people eat junk food and remain very thin without exercising?
As i believe KarmaKitty mentioned, if you eat nothing but junk food, you won’t be absorbing the nutrients you need to give your body energy and repair, so it will be running on fat and sugar alone- in particular, you’re unlikely to be getting enough protein, which helps the body to grow and repair itself and is important for building “bulk” (Have a quick look at the Weight Gain category and you’ll see the diet advice has nothing to do with eating junk) . Consider foods like penny chews and pear drops etc. Undeniably junk food, but if you tried to live off them you’d starve. I’ve also come across people like this who later turned out to be suffering from serious eating disorders. Take a look at these people closely- they may be skinny, but they’ve very likely they’ve got grey, spotty skin, lank hair, bags under the eyes and suffer terrible mood swings, low sex drive and sleeping difficulties. These people may be thin, but don’t be fooled into thinking that thin automatically means healt
Well, I can personally say that the trick is to not eat much else – and not too eat much at all. At my thinnest, I was a candy junkie (oh, how I love Turtles). But I didn’t eat much else. I’d call a candy bar “lunch” – and even at 300 calories or so, that’s rather low in calories for a meal. If you eat only one or two meals a day you can get away with a lot of candy (assuming that’s all you eat). Needless to say, that’s not a healthy way to loose weight since candy generally is VERY low in nutritional value. Fortunately, I saw the error of my ways.
