How can slow-witted people become quick-witted?
Anything that you would describe as quick-witted is in essence some sort of nuance or identification with a subtle variation of the ordinary, which is considered humorous. It is being able to identify these subtle nuances and point them out that makes us funny, especially when the other person can follow along- or get the joke so to speak. If we all thought the same way there would be no quick-wittedness. One way to be witty is to listen intently to others..if you think you know what someone is going to say before they say it, and you are anxiously anticipating them to say one thing (but what they say is completely “non plus” compared to where you thought they were going with their thought or expression of words- and you had a really funny ending or interpretation of their thought process) , and so you reply with what you thought would be a funny completion to their thought..
