How can Praxair coatings protect components from corrosion?
Thermal-sprayed and electro-deposited coatings can mitigate corrosive material loss from metal and alloy components either by providing a barrier to the environment, or by providing anodic (sacrificial) or cathodic protection. Sealing of these coatings is often recommended. In many instances, these corrosion-resistant coatings can also provide wear protection.
