How can other communities be included in a cancer incidence review?

0

The Memphis and Shelby County Health Department performed this review because environmental contamination was found in the soils along Cypress Creek and there was a request made to the health department by the Vollintine Evergreen Community Association (VECA) to review cancer information for the Cypress Creek Community. Since both environmental and health data was available the health department was able to conduct the cancer review to determine if there was a higher incidence of cancer in the Cypress Creek community than in Shelby County. All communities in Shelby County were included in the numbers for Shelby County as a whole.
