Santosh Kumar Guddheti TO MAKE home style chilli sauce, remove stem from chillies and soak in water for one hour and make a fine paste. Heat oil, put chilli paste and salt and cook till oil comes out. You need not add any preservative as oil on top will act as one. To make home style tomato sauce (this is not tomato ketchup). Blanch tomatoes, remove skin and de-seed. Make a puree of it. Heat oil add bay leaf, chopped garlic and chopped onion. Cook till golden brown. Add tomato puree, cook on low flame till oil leaves the sauce. Cool and refrigerate.
