How can one improve their French listening skills?
We have Virgin Media, and there are a few French channels on there. I find it quite helpful just to watch them for a while – it is surprising how much you understand! The other thing you can do is go on youtube, buy DVD’s of films or tv series that you already know the jist of what is going on, so you can pick up vocab. But, the only way you will really improve is actually going to France and trying to hold a conversation with someone. That way you improve your talking and understanding skills, and will learn more colloquial phrases.
