CHP: The amount given to subjects is always to be questioned and looked at carefully. This said, we will always have persons from different walks of life and general state of income. If a PI is aware of a wide disparity in subjects she/he would carefully choose a stipend that is fair. Yes, some will think this is a great deal of money and others will think the figure is too low. The amount is carefully chosen and is consistent. It would not be fair to give one SP one amount and another a higher or lower amount based on what you think is their income level. This is a good question and one Indian CRO’s will have to deal with more than other countries.
