Make sure the people who operate your machinery are properly trained. Make sure your equipment is regularly serviced and properly maintained. If inspections are required, get them done on time and make sure you have good documentation on hand at all times. In short, you need to be able to demonstrate that worker safety is at the core of your operations and that you are doing your level best (humanly and reasonably) to protect your workers.
