This product has a great penetrating quality that is necessary to cover scratches effectively. We recommend using OLD ENGLISH® Oil. Apply it liberally to a white soft cloth. Buff the area of the furniture where the Scratch Cover was applied with this cloth now soaked with OLD ENGLISH® Oil. This should dissolve the Scratch Cover or at least make it lighter in color. You may need to apply a second application of Oil. If you do not notice a difference in the appearance of the furniture after using the Oil, it may be necessary to sand down the furniture where the Scratch Cover was applied to remove the stain from the wood.
