Schools continue to work hard to provide for the needs of all learners, including students who excel in mathematics. The Young Scholars Model, which is designed to improve student academic achievement and prepare students for more challenging and rigorous curriculum, is currently being implemented in more than 45 elementary schools around the county. The compacted curriculum for grades 3-6, currently used in GT Center schools, is available to all schools that have students who need accelerated instruction in mathematics.
