The issues Fairweather discusses were of great concern just over 4 months ago, now largely water under the bridge. Dependence on technology We do depend on technology, but 2000 came and went without major disaster, largely because a lot of people worked very hard so it would not happen. Obviously we can do without the technology, but properly handled it can be of great benefit. It can be a big time saver.. It can be a big time waster.
