How can NetPatrol control WinGate?
NetPatrol 1.1 can log into and remotely control certain aspects of WinGate 6.0. This includes termporarily black-listing IP addresses that are acting suspiciously, and this is configurable on a rule-by-rule basis in NetPatrol. The first step is to configure the WinGate remote control module in NetPatrol, giving it the location of the WinGate server, and the username and password to use to log in with. Additionally, you must ensure that your WinGate installation is running a Professional license or better, and is enabled for remote control. This requires making sure the binding policy for the Remote Control Service allows WinGate to accept connections from the machine running NetPatrol.
