How can NetDIVE afford to give its software for free?
Well in fact we would not be able to afford to give you our software products for free, and continue to develop them into “World Class” products that they are, if it was not for the revenues that we generate from Professional Services and Enterprise Sales. Because the fees that we are charge for Support, specially for low number of Seats, rarely even covers our actual cost of providing these Support. So essentially we have decided to forgo 1,000s of Dollars in sales per customer to a large segment of the market, that is the Small to Medium size businesses, with the hope that by doing so we will capture a much larger segment of the market due to the fact that our products are “Best of breed” in their respective categories. And in the long term this symbiotic arrangement will in fact result in sales that will allow us to afford to continue to develop our products to the “Best of breed” status that they have while giving them away for free and just charging for Support.
