How can National Express East Anglia strike for 8 days over four consecutive weeks?
Living as I do on the Liverpool St to section of this line, I think the management at National Express have a lot to answer for, there passenger service record is so poor as to be non existant, and as for the staff receiveing a decent wage, maybe the drivers, but the rest are on very poor salaries. (Booking office staff can be on as low as £12, 500pa-for shift work!) I recently spen two years travelling on the line, my journey time to South West London (Hounslow) usually took around two hours at the best of times was regularly disrupted on this section of line for a variety of reasons with many different excuses given. Attempting to buy a ticket each month at my local station was often a non-starter with the ticket office not open at all during the morning or evening rush hour, and closed at weekends, yet according to the sign the office was supposed to be open at 6.20am until 8pm Mon-Fri, 7am-7pm Sat and 9-12 Sunday.
