How can my sons girlfriend be subject to harestmennt and violent threats by her ex boy friend and the police dont help?
it depends on the threats… is there any evidence that the police can act on, such as a recorded ‘phone message making threats. Are there any witnesses who can stand up and be counted and tell the police what’s happening? The police should at least be able to ask her ex what he’s been doing… that’s the UK police for you they would rather concentrate on petty crimes than the serious ones i would keep bugging the police harassment is harassment and the police have to take it seriously if they don’t write a letter to the chief constable for your county and complain as he will take it seriously good luck and hope this gets sorted out I don’t know the background of this problem. What I do know is that if you get out an injunction (I am assuming there is not one) against the ex boy friend then the Police will arrest him if he continues.
