How can my school obtain a copy of the States foreign language proficiency exams?

The Louisiana Department of Education no longer develops foreign language proficiency exams. In order to administer a proficiency exam, a school must develop its own communicative-based test, or borrow one from another school district, and submit the test to the Department for approval. In addition, a letter of request to administer a proficiency exam must be submitted to the Department and should include the following information: names of the students to be tested the reason the test is being administered an approximate testing date For more information on guidelines to be followed in developing proficiency exams for foreign language courses, schools should contact David Beste at (225) 342-3187, or Carolyn Taylor-Ward at (225) 342-3946, at the Division of Student Standards and Assessments.
