As written, characters cannot Far attack unless it explicitly says they can do so (check the character’s Talent or Prowess). In the basic deck, only the Archer can Far attack normally (Talent: Barrage). The OtherOne Disciple’s Needlestorm spell is also an explicit Far attack.
