Students must take either French 1A or Spanish 1A in 7th grade and then the 1B class in 8th grade to get one high school foreign language credit. The 1A class is the first semester freshman language class spread out over one year. The 1B class is second semester of freshman foriegn language spread out over the 8th grade year.
