To certify specific account(s) on an effort certification statement, check the “Certify” checkbox for the specific account(s) you have direct knowledge about, and then click the “Save/Certify Partial” button. To have an effort certification statement certified, all account lines (including non-sponsored accounts) must have a check in the “Certify” checkbox, indicating that 100% of the employee’s effort is being certified. The last principal investigator to certify the researcher’s effort certification statement must click on the “Certify Final” button, read the user declaration, and complete the process by clicking on the “I Agree” button. Since each principal investigator certified specific account(s), that person will be responsible for the specific account(s) they certified. The transaction history indicates who certified a specific account.
